Genova - Italy

Finally Genoa, the city that was my base for all these other trips I enjoyed. The city center is composed of numerous narrow streets and dark alleys. So dark, that in some of them the sun never shines. It's always colder in the middle of the center (my own experience). The streets are full of small traditional shops, bakeries and pastry shops, restaurants and cafes. Now and then there is a small piazza, usually with a church or a palazzo, all very difficult to photograph simply because there's not enough space. It's cute in its own way. On the down side, the streets stink of piss and puddles of the not-so-mysterious yellow liquid are visible here and there, especially in the morning just after all drunk men spread their essence around.
Outside of the city center Genoa has more modern sights and streets, gardens, lookout points on top of the hills and the port. Are you curious now? Let's go!

I feel I have to apologize for the amount of pictures in this post, but it was not only extremely difficult to select just a few, but also I had many more, of different palazzos, churches, piazzas, etc. Genoa is rich in architectural sights and one can find interesting buildings absolutely everywhere.
I hope you enjoyed the ride!
